Offshore Mail Server Hosting
Self-host Postfix, Dovecot, or Mailcow on an anonymous VPS in a jurisdiction that respects email privacy. Clean IP, reverse DNS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC-ready.
Key requirements
- Clean IPv4 with no spam blacklist history
- Reverse DNS (PTR) configurable
- Ports 25, 465, 587, 993, 995 unblocked
- Jurisdiction with strong mail privacy law
- Enough RAM for antispam (2 GB minimum)
Why self-host email
Commercial email providers scan your mailbox for ads, comply with government requests aggressively, and introduce a single point of failure. Self-hosted email gives you full control over retention, filters, and legal jurisdiction of storage.
The IP reputation problem
Cloud providers ship IPv4 ranges that have been abused by prior users. Our mail-recommended locations (Switzerland, Iceland, Panama) maintain clean IP ranges specifically for users running mail servers. Every new VPS comes with a clean PTR record you can set.
Recommended stack
Mailcow (Docker-based all-in-one), Mail-in-a-Box (single-command setup), or raw Postfix + Dovecot + Rspamd. VPS-M is enough for one user; VPS-L for a small team of 5–10.
Best jurisdictions for email

Mail Hosting — FAQ
01 Is port 25 unblocked?
Yes — outbound port 25 is unblocked on all our mail-friendly jurisdictions. Some cloud providers block port 25; we do not.
02 Can I set my reverse DNS (PTR)?
Yes. Set the PTR via your control panel or via the API. Correct PTR is critical for mail delivery.
03 Are the IPs on spam blacklists?
We monitor our ranges and rotate any addresses that pick up reputation issues. New customers get audited-clean IPs for mail-specific plans.
04 What about DKIM and SPF?
Both are DNS-side and under your control. We provide a minimal example configuration in the /faq pages.
05 Can I receive mail with my own domain?
Yes, point your MX record at the VPS IP. The server is yours; we do not inspect or log mail traffic.
Run your own mail server
Privacy-friendly jurisdiction + clean IP + no KYC = actually anonymous email.
